Preschool for a Bug

We do a little preschool homeschooling each day.  Or a lot.  Or none at all.  Depending on our mood.

Homeschooing brings about a flood of thoughts.  I'll share two:
1.  This is going to be great!
2. This is going to be a disaster!

But those thoughts generally apply to everything in my life, simultaneously, so they fit in well here too.

I picked up two cheap workbooks at Target.  One letters, one numbers.

I let Bug lead me on when and how much.  She's got such a thirst for learning that I'm not really concerned about academic achievement.  I want learning to remain fun and exciting.  Even with a relaxed attitude though, every once in a while it's a challenge to keep things light.  Bug gets frustrated when things don't come out perfectly.

I really can't imagine where she gets that.

Organized homeschool cabinets are a bit like Disneyland
in that they make my home the happiest place on earth.

I'm not sure what the future holds for my childrens' education.  Homeschool?  Charter school?  Public school?  Christian school?  Private school (after we win the lottery)?  With prayer and time, I'm sure the path will become clear.  Or not.  And we'll just muddle through like we always do.

But at least everything will be labeled.

I loved school too! I am an only child and my mom had oodles of time to spend doing things like this. Your Bug is so lucky to have a mom so devoted! :)

And Bex and Dee will want to be like Bug..in school!

If I had children it would homeschooling allll the way!

Have a great day! xo, misha

And if everything is labeled, especially with a label maker, then it is all good.

I'm totally getting the urge to organize everything. Nesting? I hope it lasts... for years.

I think you would be great at homeschooling. I think I would be too strict and not fun. I think I'm too uptight for homeschooling- my kids would run away from home. They'd run straight up the 5 freeway to your house :)

LOL! Labelling.. love it! My dad is a big one for labelling. He even once labelled ALL my shoeboxes --with a drawing of what the shoe inside the box looks like! Gaaahhh!

About homeschooling. I love the idea, but I don`t think I am disciplined enough, so what we have now is the ideal situation. Where the kids go to school and I supplement with fun learning stuff. :)

I am feeling the exact same way as you about school... I plan to homeschool but I also feel like it could be a disaster. Emy gets frustrated too if things aren't going the way she wants or her letters don't come out just right. AND I have the same label maker as you. :) We're twins.

:) With Cat starting Kindergarten this year, I am impressed that your little Bug is doing so much!

My oldest, Ben, is that same kind of kid - not one pause or concern. Good job mama, whether you send them to public, charter or keep em home with you, I am sure they will do GREAT!

With that kind of organization, you can't lose! Bug is doing very well with her letters and numbers...she's a real smarty-girl!

Oh but my dear you have choices and that is, I believe, is the greatest part. No matter what you choose, it will be the best for all of you!
