After getting such wonderful feedback on my post, The Gift, I wanted to start a monthly installment in which I share some of the things I'm blessed with at the moment. You can then leave your list of things you're grateful for in the comments section for me and others to enjoy and be inspired by. Or you can leave a comment that you are posting a gratitude list on your blog and others can see it here and link to your site. If a few people do this, others will see it and it will multiply until there is a virtual web of blessings splintering out across cyberspace! What a joyful way to fill up that space and inoculate someone's day with a little viral happiness.
It's catching, you know.
It can be one small thing, the only thing, that's keeping you afloat today.
It can be a story of a promise kept or a dream realized.
It can be one thing (or many things) that you love.
Maybe you're just grateful to be breathing today.
It can be someone, some place, or some feeling that brings you security.
Maybe you are in a pit of despair,
but you noticed the warmth of the sun on your arm
through a kitchen window
and it brought you a tiny measure of hope.
It can be something you're glad didn't happen!
It can be trivial. It can be deep.
It can be a gift, a miracle, or just your favorite food.
The only rule is that it has to have gratitude at it's core.
Here is my Gratitude, Woven & Spun:
I'm grateful for cold weather, pumpkins, hot baths & prayer.
I'm grateful that I live near my mom and dad.
I'm grateful that my children are healthy and bright.
I'm grateful that 5 days a week,
my husband is on the other side of the foothills
putting his whole heart into providing for our family.
God loves little ol' me.
I love the way music makes me feel.
I'm grateful that my body is in working order.
My legs are strong and sturdy.
I'm grateful they walked me into and out of an infertility clinic countless times.
They walked me into and out of a hospital labor and delivery room, twice!
I'm grateful for my belly that stretched as my babies grew.
I'm grateful for a body that held on to my first daughter for 40 weeks to the day.
I'm grateful for a body that held on to the twins until, together, they exceeded 13 pounds!
I'm grateful for laughing.
Napping children!
Pizza, candy and rented movies, on the couch, with my husband.
Friends, confessions, and Starbucks.
Spin your webs of blessings and share your thread!
What gratitude are you weaving and spinning today?

Oh my gosh I'm so excited for this!
I'll post in the morning! I love hearing more about you and your gratitude is contagious!
I love the new page! When did you change it? Where did you get the template?
Hi Dawn! I changed it about 2 weeks ago. Thanks for noticing. HA! Just kidding. I got the background and header from thecutestblogontheblock.com. The frames and text I put in on Photoshop. I stayed up til 2 am one night doing it and I'm still not all the way happy with it!
Bwahaha! I, err, totally noticed right away, but, errr, I forgot to tell you, and then forgot I noticed, and then I just re-remembered.
Looks purty. :)
I love this idea. I have an gratitude journal that I have kept next to my bed for years and it's filled with all kinds of big and little things I am thankful for. I will add this to my blog on Tuesday so it will give me some time to sort through it and come up with something really creative.
Love and Hugs ~ Kat

Mine is up!

How fun! Your list is wonderful! I would also have some of your things on my list. Maybe I will play along next time! I am always grateful for something!
This is wonderful! I love your list and your idea! Hmmmm, today I'm just thankful that my old body can still survive a run/walk. It's a miracle! :) -tammy p.s. i may have to post this at 'the farm' and play along too at a later date. Thank you for reminding us to be grateful!
Very cool idea! I'm in!
I have so much to be grateful for, but I will try to post only one or two things each time. Today, my dear Linda, I am feeling extremely thankful for YOU! Your blog brightens my day! To be able to "stop by for a visit" whenever I need a smile or a chuckle (or sometimes even a cry!) is better medicine than anything a doctor could prescribe.
"A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones." Proverbs 17:22 Thank you Linda, for not letting these bones dry up! Love you!
That is a great list of things to be greatful for. And I love the name! It is very catchy.
This is great! As soon as I surface a bit more out of my pain-relief fog, I want to do a post like this. :) Thanks for sharing. The rented movies and couch sound especially good to me tonight. :)
Here are just a few of the things on my blessings list:
~ the hammock in the backyard
~ cold water creek on a hot, hot day
~ back to school is almost here!!
~ home visits with my new students' families are going well
~ how giddy my daughter was when she first mixed pink lemonade and Sprite. It's now called Lemonite.
~ inspiring blogging friends - like you
