Sunday's Scripture

Thank you to everyone who has left comments and emails wondering as to my whereabouts! You're all such a great group of supportive and caring people!

Well, I've been here...and there. I've been everywhere that wasn't my computer chair. I've found that I can't do everything and do it well.

My computer had a virus. And thank God for that! Because while my computer was in the shop, it gave me time away from this phenomenon called Blogger's Time Warp that I was completely ensnared in. It had sucked every possible moment away from me and I had secretly become the mom who had no time or patience because I was the mom who was addicted to her computer.

The mom without her computer read more books to her kids, learned to play cribbage with her husband and read the bible more. I made more jam, baked more sweets, committed more random acts of kindness, completed more chores and spent more time in Christian fellowship.

But I also love to write. And I love to share what my family is up to. And I love to see what you're all up to. So I feel compelled to continue blogging. But not as often. I think my blogging friendships might suffer because I won't comment as much on your blogs. (I can't believe I missed the birth of Mrs. D's foal!!) But please know how much I think of you and lurk around your blogs. And please continue to visit me if you feel so inclined. You know how much I love to have you.

A torn but blissful mommy,

Elle

Elle, I completely get the time warp problem with blogging. While having the support of on-line friends in blogging land is wonderful, it can never truly replace our families. Investing in our children and families are the best investments we'll ever make. I'm so glad to hear that a real tragedy of some sort has not happened. I have to admit, I was becoming quite concerned!

Be well! ~Andrea~

Isn't it amazing how something "so innocent" can make such a huge impact on your life! I think that it is awesome you are "weaning" yourself back a bit, although I've missed you terribly! Please keep posting pictures and videos, I miss you! :( Love and hugs to all of you!

Sometimes real life calls! Good for you for getting away from the computer. I know how easy it is to get sucked into the internet and blog, blog, blog away...but it's a testament to your mothering that you are able to pull yourself away and devote most of your time to your family. :)

My husband looked at me one night when I was on the computer and he said," One day I am going to come home and your feet will be hanging out of the computer screen." I do believe him !! LOL!!

That is the sweetest video ever! Love it :)

Oh and although I miss your posts, I totally understand! Sometimes blogging does take too much precious time away. Cutting down is not a bad thing at all!

Well I sure missed you in the blogoshpere but GOOD FOR YOU to take less time with us. Who wouldn't want to spend more time with Bug and the twins.

Glad you're back, Elle!
I know exactly what you mean about the blogging. I LOVE it! But yesterday after I had fixed a big breakfast for my DH, I found myself taking pics of it as he was eating so that I might have something for the blog! Is it that I want to record all of life's events so they stay forever? I don't know. My sister calls it a "time-suck". She's absolutely right! Will I stop? Don't know. I love the writing part and the photography part and meeting great people like YOU!.
Glad you all are happy and doing well! We worried about you!

Its true Elle and usually we all realize it at some point and have to back off, especially us mommas but I think your so dang wonderful you could never get rid of me!!! I had to cut back on commenting and posting, but I love to write so my hubby bought me a recorder to make sure I wouldnt forget all the stuff that I had floating around in my brain for my blog. It's amazing how little time is spent with our "most importants" and in the word. Im so glad everything was ok! Even more happy that you are sharing your lovely self more with everyone else at home...

I thought of another one from yesterday's sermon...."Enjoy" *barf* joy is fine but the en...it really grosses me out...so I started saying "bejoy" it works for me....hubby found out he hated "curriculum" because I kept throwing the word around (obviously carelessly) and he said "just say books" it made me think of you...

Oh and if you were planning on homeschooling bug...I found the best christian curriculum books at goodwill...for super cheap!!! start looking ahead of time momma!

K sorry Ill go now.

I am glad you are okay. My son just learned his first scripture yesterday! I know what you mean about the blogger thing, I need to start cutting back and I admire you for your priorities!

You do what you need to do for You first. Every once in awhile share a little "bug" with us!

I have to admit I was worried! I knew you were waiting for Miss D to foal and when I when I never heard from you that was when the concern set in ! But this little foal has plenty of antics in store for all us. Whenever you check in she will be there!
Just because you be around as much does mean I will not think of you less often! You are a part of this blog community, whether you post once a day or once a month!
Blessings to you and your sweet family!

If I didn't do this at work, it would never get done. Trust me.

Glad you're ok! :)

So glad to hear all is well. It seems so many of us have this same issue. I've cut back on the amount of time I have spent thinking about blog content, commenting on every post I read and now I just write when it feels right and focus on my family the rest of the time. Glad you're back!!

Welcome back! Glad you are listening to the Still Small Voice that is telling you to OBEY! :) Having similar conversations with Him, but not feeling His conviction to stay away completely! :) Thanks for stopping by!

I was so missing you and seeing the cutie pies! I totally understand though. I didn't have blogging when I homeschooled my girls. When time permits, please pop in to blog. I will be sure to check in to your blog as well.

I was inspired to cook with Baby Boo because of how you and your princess cook together. So, thank you, my friend.

Hey there! Glad you're back! I just thought I'd mention that Bakerella only posts once a week and she is wildly popular and very effective! I love your posts and I think I would take the quality over the quantity anytime!

I totally understand. I've been MIA a lot lately, too. Computer problems, plus too much going on. I did notice that I was spending way too much time on the computer, to the detriment of my other responsibilities. How hard it is to juggle everything! So just do what you can, and post when you can. We all underatand! And what a precious video. I think that says it all:)
