You've never seen your child's purest smile or heard their most genuine laugh until they've experienced swinging. It's joy at it's most unbridled.

The Swing
by Robert Louis Stevenson
How do you like to go up in a swing,
Up in the air so blue?
Oh, I do think it the pleasantest thing
Ever a child can do!
Up in the air and over the wall,
Till I can see so wide,
River and trees and cattle and all
Over the countryside—
Till I look down on the garden green,
Down on the roof so brown—
Up in the air I go flying again,
Up in the air and down!
by Robert Louis Stevenson

I'm not a kid, but I can't help but smile when i sit on a swing. Oh wait, maybe I am a kid :)
Oh swinging, it's been far too long.
I love the giggles too! I always wanted to swing all the way around...
Elle,
I am still a fan of swings and whenever I can find them at the park, there you will find me.

Oh who doesn't love a swing!
It's pure joy!
Elle, Love all the pics:) I enjoy watching my babies swing too. I love my porch swing... we all enjoy swinging and talking. How have you been? Have a great week. Many Blessings,
I still love to swing! I always do when I take the grandkids to the park. I've always loved that poem, too. We learned it in grade school...back in the old days when you had to recite poetry from memory. :-}
How weird is that that I just read that poem last night from A Child's Garden of Verses and I see it here on your blog today?!
Your kiddies are SO, SO adorable! :)
Oh, man! Those are some sweet smiles. Miss those days.

Precious! I love the poem, as well. Your kids have the most fabulous smiles! :)
So cute! Love this poem! I haven't caught up with you for a long time...glad we're both back to blogging a little here and there.
Have a great week.

I love swings... as a child I couldn't get enough.
As an adult... they make me a little sick, but it's okay!
So precious!!
Layla LOVES to swing. Ysa, not so much :)
What sweet pictures and poem ♥ I still love a good swing, mostly my boring ol' porch swing :)
That is so true! I had my little ones on the swings today! :)
Hi! Thanks for commenting on my blog post today, I am lame and go eons without posting on yours.
I really, really, REALLY appreciate the advice. And I'm going to take it - not buy into the hype, learn to accept ME for ME, instead of what I think I should be.
And as an aside: Dee and Bex are HUGE! And how is Bug 4????? They're kids and stuff now. What happened to the babies?

Both my children loved to be pushed in the swing, but my son totally adored it! His laugh would just make my heart swell. I miss that age!! Cute pictures!
