Do You Know What I Know?

If you don't, I want to tell you.

Ever wonder if God really loves you? Listen to this: He sent his son to die for you! Can you imagine doing that for anyone? Me neither. He sent His son as a precious little baby boy, born to die. The ultimate sacrificial lamb, whose blood would cover all our sins for eternity. Now that's love.

If you don't yet believe, Jesus is seeking you out. He waits on you. It's never too late to turn to Him and lay all your cares at His feet. To say "I'm too tired to carry these anymore. Come live inside my heart and make me new". Jesus may say "what took you so long, child?" or "it's about time" but He'll never say "It's too late".

Think you're too messed up? Done too many bad things? Ah. Jesus came specifically for you. Matthew 9:11-13 says "When the Pharisees saw this, they asked His disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and ‘sinners’?" On hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." "

He already loves you. He's just waiting for you. Do you know that?

This Christmas, more than ever, I am struck by the story of our Savior. A sacrifice made so long ago is still there for the taking today. Salvation is still up for grabs for anyone who wants to receive Jesus into their lives. It's not an antiquated story--it's one that is relevant and significant in the very times were are living in today.

If you had a cure for cancer would you hoard it? Deny the sick your antidote and just let them die? Never! Well, I know that "God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16) and I want to share that knowledge with everyone.

Merry Christmas to all and may you know and revel in the true reason why we celebrate!

Do You Hear What I Hear

Said the night wind to the little lamb
Do you see what I see
Way up in the sky little lamb
Do you see what I see
A star, a star Dancing in the night
With a tail as big as a kite
With a tail as big as a kite

Said the little lamb to the shepherd boy
Do you hear what I hear
Ringing through the sky shepherd boy
Do you hear what I hear
A song, a song High above the trees
With a voice as big as the sea
With a voice as big as the sea

Said the shepherd boy to the mighty king
Do you know what I know
In your palace warm, mighty king
Do you know what I know
A child, a child Shivers in the cold
Let us bring him silver and gold
Let us bring him silver and gold

Said the king to the people everywhere
Listen to what I say
Pray for peace people everywhere
Listen to what I say
The child, the child
Sleeping in the night
He will bring us goodness and light
He will bring us goodness and light
